May 05, 2006 · I have no real opion on DVD+R vs. DVD-R I mostly use +R but really I don't think it matters much which you use, as long as the disc is made correctly and your perticular burner doesn't have a problem with what you choose. (some burners perfer one or the other, etc) I've got about 50 CD-R discs burned in 1998 that are easily readable. When it concerns DVD-Video playback on DVD players, the quickie answer here is that DVD-R works more often than DVD+R, and that DVD+RW works more often than DVD-RW or DVD-RAM.
