VLC for the new Apple TV is a win for the platform. Not all the features work as you’d expect but it’s still a great application to play several file types.

The reason is that when running Plex Media Server as a service Plex is running as a service, any update through Plex can’t be done because the service needs to be stopped first before any updates can happen.
